APOD is proud to partner with Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in a joint venture celebrating America 250. Recipients of their first-ever NEA Reach Grant, KPAC will invest $19,000 in federal arts funds to support APOD’s production of the Broadway musical BANDSTAND, making it possible to bring this powerful show to our community this November. Set against the historic background of post WWII America, BANDSTAND tells the fictional story of a group of soldiers just home from the war who come together to form an all-veteran swing band.  But the struggles of returning to civilian life, the traumas of war, and the weight of the friends they left behind threaten to tear the band apart.  Featuring high energy choreography and a live orchestra BANDSTAND is a show not to be missed!
